Latine/x Community Advocate

Virginia Mejia was born in Dominican Republic. She migrated to the United States when she was 13 years old. She lived in New York City for three years and then moved to the state of Virginia.

She is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Her passion to help people led her to attend VCU where she received her B.A. in Social Work. Virginia works part-time for Virginia Community Voice as a Latinx Community Advocate.

She also works full-time for Chesterfield County as a Bilingual Pretrial Officer.

She has a great passion in helping her community strive.
