Veronica Reid is a native from Chile. She has a passion for advocacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Before migrating to the USA, Veronica worked in the corporate field, where she developed Total Quality procedures, customer care standards, and trained small business owners to develop new markets, improve products, procedures, and the quality of life of themselves and their employees.

Veronica migrated to the USA in 2004 and has been dedicated to serving and empowering others for years. She has worked with the homeless and immigrant population, as well as children and families in the foster care and criminal justice system.

Through her career, she has empowered people to find their voices, develop new skills, imagine, and build a better future. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

At Virginia Community Voice Veronica started as a Community Advocate, working with the Greening Working Group. She develops material that supports equity and inclusion and assists marginalized Hispanic Communities to be engaged with the work of RVA Thrives and identify solutions that matter to them. In spring 2022, Veronica stepped into a new role as the Director of the South Richmond Leaders Fellowship, a new project of Virginia Community Voice that will be a bilingual program for South Richmond neighbors to learn, grow, and step into their power as local leaders.
