At Virginia Community Voice, Monty serves as a Community Advocate within the Latinx/Hispanic community, doing outreach, community engagement and mobilizing South Richmond neighbors to become leaders in their own communities. Maria works with other VACV community engagement staff to create culturally adaptive and inclusive spaces for all people, with a specific focus on Spanish-speaking families. Maria is also a Family Liaison with Richmond Public Schools, mother and long-time community volunteer.
